Gyeonji-dong Buddhist Supplies Street

Gyeonji-dong Buddhist Supplies Street is located at the entrance of Jogyesa Temple, the headquarters of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, and extends to Gongpyeong Intersection and part of Insa-dong, with about 30 specialized stores selling Buddhist books and supplies. Here, you can purchase Buddhist books, wooden gongs (moktak), prayer beads (yeomju), monk's robes (seungbok), Buddhist statues, incense, and other Buddhist items. Gyeonji-dong Buddhist Supplies Street is a Seoul Future Heritage selected after proposals from citizens and experts, fact verification, and deliberation by the Future Heritage Preservation Committee, based on the principle of voluntary discovery and preservation by citizens.
