Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Located between Jungnang Station and Junghwa Station in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, Taereung Market began as a self-formed street stall on a covered road in 1987 and operated as a traditional market for over 30 years. In 2021, the market environment was improved through the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Taereung Market Specialized Street Creation Project. Commercial stores occupy up to the second floor of the Taereung Market mixed-use residential building (Taeneung Essemville), and the street stalls in front of the apartment have been transformed into Seoul-style mobile shops, lining the main road in a long straight line. It is also called Taereung Market or Taereung Enterpia.
