Chungsin Market

Located in Chungsin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Chungsin Market is an alley market with over 50 years of history, situated midway between Dongdaemun Market and Daehangno. Before it was officially named a market, it was a street of street vendors. As the floating population increased, it naturally acquired the official market name. Currently, after the disappearance of the Naksan Apartment complex across the street, which was its main customer base, the market has lost some vitality. However, as latecomer fabric merchants who could not enter Dongdaemun Market have started operating in Chungsin Market, a new fabric market street is being formed.
