Dogok Market

Dogok Market is a traditional market located in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It originated in the 1970s when merchants naturally started their businesses one by one. It is an alley-type market with shops arranged along both sides of the alley that stretches from the downtown road to the apartment complex. The market is also intertwined with apartment commercial facilities, attracting many visitors. As apartment complexes were built in the surrounding area, the market grew in scale, at one time accommodating hundreds of merchants.
