Seopori Beach

Seopori Beach is a representative beach of the west coast located in the southern part of Deokjeok Island. Designated as a national tourist destination, Seopori Beach is surrounded by dense forests of old pine trees over 100 years old, and boasts a gentle slope with a white sand beach that is 300m wide and 3km long. It serves as a resting place for over 100,000 tourists annually, and is crowded with vacationers in the summer. The coast, where red pines are particularly well-developed, was once used as a windbreak forest but is now well-preserved and open as a walking trail. Seopori Beach is equipped with various leisure facilities including a wide sandy beach, a seaside playground, tennis courts, restaurants, karaoke rooms, and bicycle rentals. This area is famous for sea fishing, and around the rocky shores of Seopori Beach, rockfish and Korean rockfish are commonly caught, attracting many tourists who enjoy sea fishing. With well-established auto camping sites and parks, it is emerging as the best tourist destination on the west coast. The Seopori Forest Bathing Area behind the beach, with its beautiful natural environment and pine groves, allows visitors to enjoy both forest bathing and sea bathing.
