Why travelers stop here
The '4th Gyeyang Araon Water Festival', an experiential water play festival held at the Gyeyang Araon waterfront, begins. The event will take place over two days from July 25 (Sat) to July 26 (Sun) at the Hwang-eo Square of Gyeyang Araon, featuring a variety of activities including water play, water slides, water experiences, cultural performances, and experience booths. The biggest change for this year compared to 2025 is the expansion of 'powered water leisure equipment'. Beyond the existing static experiences, thrilling powered equipment such as experience boats and donut boats have been introduced, along with non-powered equipment like kayaks, to enhance the dynamism of the festival. In addition, the water play zone will have various spaces for the whole family to enjoy, including frame pools, kids' play zones, toddler zones, and water slides. In particular, safety personnel are fully deployed in each zone, and the number of visitors per time slot is limited through advance reservations to ensure a safe environment where visitors can enjoy the festival with peace of mind. There are also plenty of sights and activities beyond water play. Various cultural events such as busking performances by youth and local artists, face painting, and water balloon target games will take place throughout, adding vitality. Both the water play zone and water experiences are free, and advance reservations can be made on a first-come, first-served basis through 'Naver Reservation' from 10:00 AM on July 10 (Fri) to 6:00 PM on July 16 (Thu), with remaining spots available for on-site registration.
