Why travelers stop here
Located in southern Ganghwa, Hamheodongcheon Campground is a large campsite consisting of four camping zones. It is an ideal place to enjoy camping amidst the beauty of mountains and the sea, thanks to Manisan Mountain, which embraces Hamheodongcheon Valley, and the southern sea of Ganghwa Island spreading out in front. The four camping zones around the valley are equipped with various convenience facilities such as cooking areas and multi-purpose facilities. The first camping zone operates on an online reservation system and allows electricity use, making it so popular that reservations are fully booked every weekend. In contrast, the second, third, and fourth camping zones are available for same-day use without reservation, allowing for more flexible camping. At the ends of the second and fourth camping zones, you can enjoy quiet and serene camping while overlooking the open sea of Ganghwa. The third camping zone, close to multi-purpose facilities, is very suitable for group activities. Additionally, it connects to the Manisan Mountain hiking trail, allowing you to visit Chamseongdan, where Dangun Wanggeom performed ancestral rites, and the natural monument Sosa tree at the summit on your way down.
