Why travelers stop here
Daegeumsan (大金山) is a mountain spanning Dumil-ri, Gapyeong-eup and Daebo-ri, Jojong-myeon, Gapyeong-gun. It is called Daegeumsan because it became famous after a gold mine was discovered there in the past. There are many wild peach trees along the hiking trails, and in spring, the mountain is covered in blooming azaleas, as if dyed in soft pink, showcasing a colorful beauty.
