Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Jungwonsan, at an elevation of 800m, rises to the east of Yongmunsan, the guardian mountain of Yangpyeong. Although less known due to the grandeur of Yongmunsan, it is a majestic rocky mountain comparable to Yongmunsan. Jungwonsan, Baegunbong, and Doilbong are subsidiary peaks with Yongmunsan as the main peak, forming a spectacular range of four connected peaks. This is why it is called the Geumgang of Gyeonggi Province. To the west of Jungwonsan lie Jogye Valley and Yonggye Valley, and to the east lie Jungwon Valley and Jungwon Waterfall, offering beautiful natural scenery with its picturesque valleys.
