Imjingang Hwangpo Sailboat

Located along the Imjingang River, the Imjingang Hwangpo Dotsbae is Paju's only waterway tourism experience, a cruise ship that recreates the Hwangpo Dotsbae, a major means of transportation during the Joseon Dynasty. It allows visitors to cruise the Imjingang River, which was restricted from public access for 50 years after the division, and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Imjingang 8 Scenic Spots, while simultaneously experiencing the history and culture of Duji Naruteo and Gorangpogu, important water transportation hubs in the Imjingang River basin. The course departs from Duji-ri Dock (Duji Naruteo), circles around Gorangpogu (Jajang-ri), and returns to the dock, taking approximately 40 minutes. Along with the captain's cultural commentary, you can thoroughly explore the red cliffs of Jajang-ri and Wondang-ri, Horogoru Fortress, Gorangpo Rapids, and unique rocks such as Turtle Rock and Rabbit Rock. In particular, you can enjoy a close-up view of the Imjingang Red Cliffs, a spectacular 600,000-year-old red vertical cliff. The Imjingang Hwangpo Dotsbae has a single-story, four-sided open structure with a closed ceiling, featuring few obstructions to the view, making it ideal for sightseeing. The cruise departs on the hour, but departure times vary by day of the week, season, and weather. Operations may be suspended due to adverse weather conditions such as rain or winter freezing, so it is necessary to check before visiting. The maximum passenger capacity is 45 people, and the ship departs when at least 8 people, the minimum passenger requirement, are gathered. Charter operations of the Hwangpo Dotsbae are also available for groups such as corporations and field trips. When boarding, you must bring your ID card and complete a boarding report form before departure.
