Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Jungbokdeul-gil is a path that starts at Seoho Park and leads to Baeyanggyo, the boundary between Suwon-si and Hwaseong-si. Seoho (Chukmanje) is an artificial reservoir built by King Jeongjo to promote agriculture in Suwon, and the Rural Development Administration test site remains there to this day. The sunset view of Seoho from Hangmijeong is called 'Seoho Nakjo' and is considered one of the Eight Scenic Views of Suwon. Continuing along Seoho, you may encounter the old narrow-gauge railway of the Suin Line, which is no longer in operation.
