Damteo Geumhak Camping Site

Damteo Geumhak Camping Site is located deep in Damteo Valley, which forms the boundary between Pocheon and Hwacheon. The last 3km to the entrance is a narrow unpaved road, but it allows you to stay quietly in nature. There is plenty of tree shade, and the valley is right next to the site, making it great for water gazing from your spot. Reservations are made by phone, and you visit on the day to choose your location. The valley is generally wide and shallow, making it good for children to play in the water. However, there are some deep pools in parts, so caution is advised. There is a small shop, but since it is deep in the mountains, it is safer to prepare food ingredients and essentials in advance.
