Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Byeolcheonji Campground is located in the middle of Hwaak Valley (Hwaakcheon), a valley famous for its clean streams in Gapyeong. It has long been a resting place and playground for visitors to the valley under the name Byeolcheonji Amusement Park. The campground is situated on both sides of the road, with the management office and bungalows in the mountain-facing area inside the road, and the campsites in the area directly adjacent to the valley on the opposite side. There are 30 crushed stone campsites. Although there is little shade from trees and the convenience facilities such as restrooms, showers, and sinks are old and somewhat inconvenient, it is an excellent place for playing in the valley water. There are the Modern Ceramic Culture Center, the New Zealand Battle Memorial, and the Australian Battle Memorial, making it good for linked sightseeing.
