Why travelers stop here
Nestled under the shade of chestnut trees and the cool valley waters of Hwaakcheon, Haneulttang Byeoltang Camping Ground is located near the Hwaak 2-ri Village Hall in Hwaak-ri, Buk-myeon, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. The chestnut trees act as a natural tarp, providing a cool and clean camping experience. The campground operates 20 general campsites (6m × 9m). Visitors can enjoy a refreshing camping experience accompanied by the sound of valley water, and in autumn, they can also experience picking chestnuts. Both large and small tents can be set up, making it recommended for campers who prefer minimalist camping. There are shared restrooms, shower facilities, and a communal sink in a separate building. Sites are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. A small convenience store is operated at the management office, though the selection is not extensive.
