Seoul National University Museum is a university museum established in 1946 with the opening of Seoul National University, continuing ongoing research, preservation, excavation, and collection activities. It holds approximately 8,000 artifacts in various fields including archaeology, history, traditional art, and anthropology, among which the "Gonyeomangukjeondo" (Complete Map of the World), "Chaseungjachongtong" (a type of firearm), "Namjigirohoe-do" (Painting of the Old Men's Gathering at Namji), "Dokseodanggyehoe-do" (Painting of the Gathering at Dokseodang), and "Sinwi Haeseo Cheonjamun" (Sinwi's Thousand-Character Classic in Cursive Script) are designated as Treasures. Since the 1960s, it has achieved significant archaeological results through over 150 excavations. Additionally, it holds special exhibitions annually and liberal arts lectures every semester.
