Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall was established to widely promote and inherit the life and ideology of Baekbeom Kim Koo (1876–1949), the great teacher of the nation who devoted his life to building an independent, democratic, and unified homeland with the world's most beautiful and advanced culture. Construction began in June 2000 and the hall opened on October 22, 2002. As a specialized historical museum of modern and contemporary history, the Baekbeom Kim Koo Memorial Hall is a cultural space for all people to understand the history of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and Korea's modern and contemporary history through the life and ideology of Kim Koo, who lived through the turbulent times. It aims to pursue the independence, democracy, and unification of the homeland and to develop the beautiful culture of the nation. The first and second floors of the memorial hall display various records and materials related to Kim Koo's biography and Korea's modern and contemporary history. It also features a professional reference room and various educational and cultural spaces, including an education room, a conference room, and a convention hall, which can be used for various educational programs and cultural events.
