Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Gallery Seorim is located at 523 Hakdong-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is a commercial art exhibition and sales space that first opened in 1984 as Seorim Gallery in Insa-dong by poet Kim Seong-ok. Kim Seong-ok, the representative poet of Seorim Gallery, played a key role in organizing the Cheongdam Art Festival in 1991 alongside Park Yeo-sook Gallery in Gangnam, which was then a cultural wasteland, contributing to the development of the Cheongdam-dong area in Gangnam-gu into a region with cultural and artistic character. In April 2008, the gallery moved from Insa-dong to Cheongdam-dong, and its name was changed to Gallery Seorim. It continues to exhibit works by various artists, offering opportunities to experience diverse forms of art.
