Why travelers stop here
Dongduk Art Gallery has held various exhibitions showcasing the trends of Korean art culture, providing artists with a venue for creative presentation and offering citizens opportunities for free art appreciation. In 1997, its name was changed to Dongduk Art Gallery, and in the same year, the Dongduk Building was completed, relocating the gallery to the first basement level of the building. It began to engage with the international art scene by holding exchange exhibitions not only with Korean artists but also with senior artists from Chinese and Taiwanese painting academies. After completing a full renovation in early 2017, it has been conducting various curated exhibitions and exhibition-linked educational programs, building a continuous network with domestic and international artists to support Korean artists' overseas advancement and introduce high-quality contemporary art.
