Why travelers stop here

Seoul Auction is Korea's first art auction company, established in 1998. Through offline/online auctions, it presents a wide range of items including Korean antique art, modern and contemporary art, collectible art, wine, jewelry, and architecture. Additionally, with its headquarters in Pyeongchang-dong and the Gangnam Center, as well as exhibition halls in Busan and Hong Kong, it conducts various cultural events, exhibitions, and academies beyond auctions. Following Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul Auction opened the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center in January 2019 in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The building, designed and planned by French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, known for the Pyeongchang-dong Seoul Auction headquarters, Incheon International Airport, and recently the Pompidou Center Seoul, consists of 8 floors above ground and 5 below, housing an auction hall, exhibition hall, and event hall. Located in the heart of Apgujeong, Seoul, the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center has established itself as a complex cultural space where the public can enjoy art in daily life and experience art auctions more closely. This space is also equipped with an optimal system for various rental events and is a special space that transforms diversely according to purpose.
