Why travelers stop here
Changhee Jewelry Art Museum is an exhibition hall for jewelry works operated by Cho Changhee Jewelry (formerly J-Gem). It displays works created by Cho Changhee, a master jeweler and precious metal craftsman with about 35 years of experience, using his artistic sense and craftsmanship with various materials such as gemstones, fossils, wood, and metal. Breaking away from traditional museums that only inform about the types and characteristics of raw stones, the exhibition elevates them into living artworks with stories, allowing visitors to glimpse over 50 years of jewelry design and crafting techniques. Rare raw stones such as a 300-million-year-old petrified wood, a 200 kg stalactite, and a 350 kg citrine rough are featured, with about 50 works ranging from as small as 30 cm to as large as 3 m.
