Garam Literature Museum

Garam Lee Byeong-gi was a poet and Korean literature scholar from Iksan who preserved our language and culture and modernized sijo (Korean traditional poetry). The Garam Literature Museum was opened to honor Garam's numerous achievements and spirit, including his innovation of modern sijo, establishment of Korean literature, and protection of Hangeul and culture, and to pass on its value. The Garam Literature Museum serves as a healing space for visitors from across the country, including Iksan citizens, and a place for cultural enrichment. Major facilities include: Meeting Garam (Video Room), Appreciating Garam's Sijo (Garam Room), Tracing Garam's Life (Permanent Exhibition Hall), Taking Garam's Memories (Experience Room), Cheonhosan Malgil (Seminar Room), and Yonghwasan Neungdum (Lounge).
