Encounter the Spectacular Dance of the Baikal Teal

The Geumgang River, originating from Tteunbong Spring, meets the sea at the Geumgang Estuary Bank, which borders Gunsan and Seocheon. The waters off the Geumgang Estuary Bank are the site of Gibeolpo, where the Tang navy invaded during the fall of Baekje, and also where Choe Museon used Korea's first cannon to annihilate Japanese forces at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty. The Geumgang Estuary is a place with deep history and, in winter, serves as a migratory bird sanctuary where one can witness the spectacular dance of the Baikal teal.
