Why travelers stop here
This is a popular spot to visit in Ulsan. The 5-meter-tall Wish Mailbox, modeled after an old mailbox used in the 1970s, was created in 2006 and is a real mailbox that actually collects mail. Free postcards are available at nearby shops or cafes, allowing you to send souvenir postcards to friends or family. The mailbox was made to hold the poignant stories of people visiting Ganjeolgot, a nationally renowned sunrise spot, and to deliver dreams and hopes. Since then, over 150,000 postcards have been placed in the mailbox. Postcards are divided into two types: wish postcards and postal postcards. Wish postcards that are not delivered are received by Ulsan City Hall, while postal postcards are delivered to the intended recipients. The contents of wish postcards are sometimes introduced through local broadcasts. ※ Pets allowed (must wear a leash and bring waste bags)
