Gamuijae Victory Memorial Hall

The Gamuijae Victory Memorial Hall was established to commemorate the first victory of the South Korean military during the Korean War in the Battle of Eumseong District and to honor the spirit of patriotism. It is located within the Mugeuk Battlefield National Tourist Site and opened in November 2003. The site where the memorial hall was built was the fierce battlefield of the Battle of Gamuijae, the first victory of the South Korean military in the Korean War.

The building has two floors above ground and provides spaces for viewing materials and experiencing the Battle of Gamuijae. By collecting and displaying materials related to the Battle of Eumseong District, combat equipment from the Korean War (weapons, uniforms, supplies, etc.), the horrors of war, and daily life during the war, it serves as an educational venue to learn about the history of the war.
