Gangam Calligraphy Museum

Gangam Calligraphy Museum is the only single calligraphy exhibition hall in Korea, established by the will of Gangam Song Seong-yong, a giant in the calligraphy world from this region who has continued the calligraphy tradition since his ancestors. It is a two-story tiled hanok building with a special exhibition hall on the first floor, a permanent exhibition hall and storage on the second floor, and a lecture room and storage in the basement. Here, 1,162 works are displayed, including works by Chusa Kim Jeong-hee, Changam Lee Sam-man, Danwon Kim Hong-do, and letters of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong. Located in Gyodong along the Jeonjucheon Stream, east of Pungnammun Gate, a symbol of Jeonju, passing through Gyeonggijeon Hall to Omokdae, Hyanggyo, and Hanbyeokdang, the Gangam Calligraphy Museum attracts art lovers. Nearby tourist attractions include the Donghak Revolution Memorial Hall, Jeonju Hanok Village, and Jeondong Cathedral, making it worth visiting together.
