Gangwon Renewable Energy Exhibition Hall

New and renewable energy refers to energy resources that are generated again even after being used once, utilizing water, wind, sun, etc., and are eco-friendly as they can be obtained from nature. Located in Pyeongchang, the Daegwallyeong New and Renewable Energy Exhibition Hall is a space that easily explains the current energy status of Korea, new and renewable energy, and the history and principles of wind power generation, allowing visitors to experience them directly. The exhibition hall consists of the symbolic space 'Blow, Wind (Welcome Zone)', 'Wind is Hope (Energy in Korea)' which covers the depletion of fossil fuels, energy production and consumption in Korea, the necessity and types of new and renewable energy, and the competitiveness of wind power, 'Wind is Energy (Wind Power Generation)' which covers the history, principles, types, structure of wind energy, and wind power complexes around the world, the themed space 'Here is the Daegwallyeong Wind Complex', and the experience space 'Wind Energy Playground'. The Wind Energy Playground consists of 9 experiential exhibits including solar cell bugs, water-powered cars, electricity I make, and feeling the wind, allowing young people to create energy themselves and learn the principles of future energy. Additionally, here you can also see the Daegwallyeong Wind Power Plant, the largest wind complex in Korea.
