Gumi City Lifelong Education Center, responsible for the education of Gumi citizens, started on February 21, 1996, as the Gumi Citizens' Welfare Hall, which integrated the Youth Welfare Center and the Women's Welfare Center. It was renamed Gumi City Lifelong Education Center on July 1, 2007. Gumi City Lifelong Education Center develops and operates various programs for local residents. Representative programs include regular lifelong education programs and certification programs for underprivileged residents. Additionally, it continues projects to enhance the welfare of Gumi citizens, such as operating university-commissioned programs, developing and operating customized education programs, developing and operating mobile education programs, networking with local lifelong learning institutions and organizations, regularly holding training sessions, workshops, and seminars for practitioners of local institutions and organizations, hosting various lifelong learning events, supporting lifelong learning activities for local residents, and operating commissioned training courses for lifelong learning experts.
