The Jirisan National Natural Recreation Forest is managed by the Korea National Arboretum's Natural Recreation Forest Management Office, covering an area of 1,420,000㎡ with a daily capacity of 550 people. Located within Jirisan National Park, it is the starting point of the Baekdudaegan mountain range climbing course, centered around Cheonwangbong Peak (1,915.4m above sea level), and sits at the boundary between Yeongnam and Honam regions in the Byeoksoryeong Valley.
The recreation forest has 36 guest rooms and a campsite with 14 sites, along with a forest training center for youth physical and mental training and nature experience learning. Facilities include pavilions, mountain lodges, iron bridges, walking trails, hiking trails, sports fields, forest schools, grass plazas, forest bathing areas, suspension bridges, picnic areas, water play areas, nature observation gardens, outdoor lecture halls, fitness facilities, and children's playgrounds. Entry is only permitted if the reservation holder and the person checking in are the same, and a valid ID must be presented.
