Why travelers stop here
Yeonggwang Beopseongpo is the home of gulbi (dried salted yellow croaker). Beopseongpo is not only the origin of gulbi but also the place where Buddhism first entered during the Baekje period, and it has been a site of continuous development since the establishment of a tax granary in the Goryeo period. Passing through Beopseongpo and over Daedeoksan Mountain, you will encounter Baekseu Haenando-ro, which boasts the most beautiful coastline in Korea. Along this coastal road, it is not only renowned for the stunning scenery of the west coast but also considered a prime spot for sunset views.
