Gwijok Hodo Museum

The only museum in South Korea specializing in the finger-pressure walnuts (hodo) that grow naturally only in Jangheung-gun, this private first-class registered museum was established to cultivate various varieties, manage premium products, and collect related materials and literature. Located on the road to Eokbulsan Mountain in Handong, east of Jangheung-eup, the Gwijok Hodo Museum was founded to cultivate various varieties of the noble walnuts that have grown naturally only in Jangheung-gun since the Joseon Dynasty, manage premium products, and preserve related materials. The first floor houses a special exhibition hall, while the second floor contains management and archive rooms. Auxiliary facilities include the Gwijok Hodo Theme Park, cultivation and propagation labs, a natural rest area, and a sales shop. Additionally, a separate Medicinal Herb Experience Land has been established outside the museum, featuring key facilities such as a medicinal herb human model garden, medicinal herb bonsai tile pavilion, medicinal herb perfume hall, medicinal herb resource plant hall, medicinal herb bonsai park, and medicinal herb theme tourism packaging, all available for viewing.<br>
