Destination briefing
Why travelers stop here
Built in 1923, this building was constructed by Imperial Japan and served as a representative financial facility operated for colonial rule. It is the bank that appears in Chae Man-sik's [Turbulent Stream], and after liberation, it was used as a bank building for the Bank of Korea, Hanil Bank, and others. Now, as the Modern Architecture Hall, it exhibits Gunsan's modern architectural structures, currency from the Japanese colonial period, and historical artifacts.
