Why travelers stop here
Geumho Lifelong Education Center holds approximately 180,000 books, including about 9,000 non-book materials such as DVDs. It provides opportunities for adults who have not received formal middle school education to obtain academic qualifications through middle school equivalency adult education. In response to an aging society, it operates the Green Academy to offer various lifelong education programs for a healthy old age. For general citizens, it offers diverse lifelong education programs in humanities, culture and arts, and vocational skills education, with 35 daytime courses and 3 evening courses. There is a village youth café called [Chingu’s House] to provide healthy leisure activities for teenagers who lack places to hang out. Geumho Lifelong Education Center underwent remodeling in 2020 to improve old facilities and provide a better environment for local residents, reopening on January 1, 2020. It added a children’s room with ondol (underfloor heating), expanded lifelong learning classrooms, and established a laptop reading room. The central garden, which was a symbol of Geumho Lifelong Education Center, was improved into a comfortable rest area with shading where local residents can sit and read books.
