Gijisi Juldarigi Preservation Society

The Gijisi Juldarigi Preservation Society is located at the Tug-of-War Museum in Songak-eup, Dangjin-si. Gijisi Juldarigi is a traditional game originating from rituals for a bountiful harvest and fertility, symbolizing community harmony and unity. It is a traditional game and intangible cultural heritage that anyone, regardless of age, gender, social status, or place of residence, can participate in and enjoy. The efforts of the preservers to fully preserve the precious intangible cultural heritage handed down by ancestors, pass it on to descendants, and utilize it as a driving force for national development continue today.

Visitors can view exhibits on Gijisi Juldarigi at the museum, and during the Gijisi Juldarigi Festival, they can also experience it firsthand.
