Gimje Horizon Festival

*The following event details are from the previous year (2023), and the 2024 event details are being updated.*<br><br>The Gimje Horizon Festival, the only one among Korea's representative cultural tourism festivals held under the theme of traditional agricultural culture, takes place around Gimje's Byeokgolje, the oldest and largest irrigation facility in Korea. Visitors can enjoy various spectacles including the Presidential Cup National Nongak Competition held against the horizon, as well as hands-on agricultural culture experience programs such as cooking rice in a furnace, catching grasshoppers, and rice harvesting. On-site participation is also available in issue-making programs like the agricultural specialty products Taegukgi performance and the three-colored rice cake performance.
