The first piano in Korea was brought in by American missionary Sightbotham (Korean name: Sabodam) on March 26, 1900, through Samunjin Ferry in Hwawon-eup, Dalseong-gun. Storytelling this historical fact, the '100 Pianos Concert' has been held annually from late September to early October since 2012 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dalseong-gun's establishment. One hundred pianos unite in beautiful melodies, resonating in the night sky over Samunjin Ferry in Hwawon-eup, Dalseong-gun.
