Why travelers stop here
Daegu Seo-gu is historically significant due to its geography, and it has preserved many cultural heritages such as Daegu Metropolitan City Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 2 Nalmoe Bukchum, No. 4 Cheonwangmegi, and No. 19 Dongbu Minyo. It is also the only area where the Sajikdan of Daegu-eupseong once stood.
The Seo-gu Cultural Center, which is responsible for the culture of the Seo-gu area, was established on March 21, 2000, and has since made great efforts to develop, research, and promote local culture. As part of these efforts, it has hosted various representative festivals and events of Seo-gu, such as the Ice Festival, Seo-gu Residents' Festival, and New Year's Sunrise Event. It has also published the annual magazine Seo-gu Culture and compiled local history books, including the Seo-gu Local History and other publications.
