Deokgu Valley Trekking

Deokgu Valley Trekking is an 8km round-trip course that starts next to Deokgu Hot Spring Condo and follows Deokgu Valley to Wontang, where hot spring water gushes out, and then returns. It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes, and you can enjoy the natural scenery while walking along the well-maintained hiking trail.

Deokgu Hot Spring is the only naturally occurring hot spring in Korea. According to legend, at the end of the Goryeo Dynasty, a man named Jeon Moran, a master of archery and spearmanship, was hunting with hunters in the Eungbongsan area when he saw a wounded wild boar wash itself in the valley and run away like an arrow. Finding this strange, he looked around and discovered water springing from the ground.
