Dongho Forest

Dongho Forest is a traditional forest located in Dongho-ri, Ungyang-myeon, Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. Dongho Village, which was a clan village of the Yeonan Yi clan, is surrounded by Deogyusan National Park, Gayasan National Park, and Jirisan National Park, boasting spectacular scenery and coexisting with traditional culture along with the beautiful Dongho Forest. Situated against a stone wall on a sloping mountain ridge, the village produces grapes with excellent taste and aroma as a specialty product, thanks to the large diurnal temperature range and abundant sunlight. This forest won the Coexistence Award at the 15th National Beautiful Forest Contest. To prevent the village's wealth from flying away, pine trees were planted at the village entrance, and the wish for the village's well-being has made the forest even more beautiful and lush.
