Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Known as a eo-tang (fish stew) restaurant in Seosang-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Ttalbujajip is a popular eatery among hikers climbing Namdeogyusan Mountain and customers from nearby golf courses. The signature menu is the spicy eo-tang, boiled rich and hearty. The basic side dishes served with the eo-tang, such as kkakdugi (radish kimchi), eggplant, and cucumber, remind you of home-cooked meals. For those who cannot eat eo-tang, the doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) and cheonggukjang-jjigae (fermented soybean stew) are also popular. Additionally, photos of the owner's four daughters are displayed on the restaurant wall, bringing a smile to your face as you recall the name 'Ttalbujajip' (House of Daughters). Nearby lies the grave of Nongae, who threw herself into the Nam River along with a Japanese general during the Imjin War.
