Why travelers stop here
Haenam Ttangkkeut Urim Garden is located along the national road from Haenam-eup to Wando. There is a large parking lot by the roadside, and the garden is built along a hillside. It was cultivated by an individual, and it is said that over 10 billion won was spent on its creation. Deck paths and stairs are well constructed along the hill, creating walking trails. Various trees are cultivated, and a cool view spreads out below the hill. The garden is laid out on a site of 15,000 pyeong, and a pond was created on top of the hill (above the hill) where water lilies and aquatic plants are cultivated. Originally, it was a wild hill, but when the soil was dug out, a puddle formed, so lotus flowers were planted. When the soil was dug out from the rocks at the top, another puddle appeared, and aquatic plants were planted there. There is not much shade from trees, so it can be hot in summer. There are many stairs built along the hill, and they are winding, so caution is needed when walking. Convenience facilities for resting are available on top of the hill, and there is also an observatory, making it good for looking around the area. In addition to trees, various sculptures and stone towers are also decorated here, offering a variety of things to see. It is a garden cultivated to preserve the natural appearance as much as possible rather than being artificial, and the flowers that bloom change with each season, allowing visitors to experience diverse natural scenery.
