Mangyang-ro Sanbok-ro Exhibition Hall

Mangyang-ro Sanbok-ro Exhibition Hall, which opened in 2021, is a space for exhibition planning and creative new-concept playground installation based on the life history of Busan's modern and contemporary Sanbok-ro (mountain road). Sanbok-ro is a road filled with the joys and sorrows of Busan. It was created as a mountain village emerged after the Korean War, and mountain paths connecting the village were formed. In the Sanbok-ro Exhibition Hall, a wall display made of mother-of-pearl is exhibited in the entrance passage to commemorate the street where najeonchilgi (mother-of-pearl lacquerware) and jagae-nong (mother-of-pearl furniture) furniture districts were formed in the Dong-gu area in the 1950s. Various exhibition spaces have the character of a play-type experience zone with diverse content that visitors can directly participate in. The exhibition hall consists of an Archive Zone, an exhibition space themed around the landscape, history, and daily life of Sanbok-ro; a Media Art Zone, a media art experience space where audiences and scenery become one through motion cameras; a Play Zone offering various experiences such as making house shapes and oral telephones; and a Souvenir Experience Zone where visitors can create and print postcards using various stamps and stickers. Near the Sanbok-ro Exhibition Hall, there are attractions such as Choryang Ibagu-gil, the 168 Stair Monorail, Yoo Chi-hwan's Mailbox, and Chinatown, making it a place where visitors can also enjoy historical site tours.
