The Myeongnyang Battle Festival is a patriotic historical and cultural festival commemorating the unprecedented Myeongnyang Naval Battle in world history, where Admiral Yi Sun-sin, reappointed as the Commander of the Three Provinces' Naval Forces, along with Joseon naval forces and Jeolla-do fishermen, defeated the Japanese navy at Ulgeolmok on September 16, 1597.<br>Co-hosted by Jeollanam-do, Haenam-gun, and Jindo-gun for the 15th time since 2008, this festival will feature an XR immersive 3D video media battle utilizing ICT technology, a lotus fireworks drone aerial battle, and various programs and landscape lighting attractions to capture the attention of tourists.
