Bak Bong-gi House is a typical house of a local wealthy person, estimated to have been built in 1927. It is located deep inside a village backed by a low hill, surrounded by a bamboo forest. The inner quarters (anchae) and the men's quarters (sarangchae) have preserved their original appearance well, and the place has been inhabited by descendants for a long time, maintaining a traditional residential form. The inner quarters is a straight-line double house with 5 kan (bays) in the front and 2 kan on the side, with a 2-goju 5-ryang structure, which was a common form for local wealthy farmers' houses at the time. Centered around the inner main hall (andaeecheong) and the outer main hall (bakkaetdeocheong), there is a small room and a storage room on the left, and the main room (anbang) and kitchen on the right. The men's quarters is in a straight-line shape with rooms arranged on the left and right of the main hall, featuring a front porch (jeontoe) and a side veranda (jjokmaru). According to records, the men's quarters was built in 1927.
