Boryeong Undersea Tunnel Promotion Center

The Boryeong Undersea Tunnel Promotion Center promotes the Boryeong Undersea Tunnel on National Route 77, which connects Daecheon Port and Wonsando Island. The Boryeong Undersea Tunnel is an undersea tunnel with a length of 6,927m, construction began in December 2010 and opened in December 2021. Here, photos and models of the construction methods and process of the Boryeong Undersea Tunnel are exhibited. With the development of civil engineering and construction technology enabling the construction of the undersea tunnel, the living sphere of island areas such as Wonsando and Anmyeondo, which previously had inconvenient transportation, is expanding. The Boryeong Undersea Tunnel also connects the west coast area, including Daecheon Port, Wonsando, and Anmyeondo in Taean-gun beyond the Wonsan Anmyeon Bridge, playing an important role in west coast tourism. This place is also a tourist rest facility housing a video room, exhibition hall, lounge, and agricultural specialty product store. The Boryeong Undersea Tunnel Promotion Center can be accessed via National Routes 36 and 77, and the nearest expressway is Daecheon IC on the West Coast Expressway. Nearby tourist attractions include Daecheon Port, Daecheon Beach, Wonsando, and the Daecheon Pension Complex.
