Why travelers stop here
Located behind Seoul Station in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Malli Market is a three-story general shopping complex market that opened in 1968, a traditional market with 50 years of history. In the early 1970s, there were many street vendors, but gradually it took on the form of a shopping mall, becoming the market it is today. At that time, Malli-dong Market was quite large, often visited by people from other regions. However, with the advent of large supermarkets, it now retains much of the appearance of an old traditional market, as if time has stopped, and was selected as a Seoul Future Heritage in 2016.
