Why travelers stop here
Daemun Hanjeongsik, which first opened a hanjeongsik (Korean table d'hôte) restaurant in Banghak-dong, Dobong-gu in 2003, has been consistently loved as a famous restaurant in Dobong-gu and Seoul. It is cooked with care every day using carefully selected ingredients and flavors. The representative menu of Daemun Hanjeongsik is the ganjang gejang (soy sauce marinated crab) set meal, which is made by selecting only spring flower crabs from the west coast, soaking them, and aging them. The borigulbi (dried yellow croaker) set meal is made by steaming the most savory busejo (a type of yellow croaker) dried in natural sea breeze upon order, and the jeonbok galbijjim (abalone braised short ribs) set meal is a nourishing dish made by steaming short rib braised ribs and live abalone together in a pressure cooker. Additionally, at Daemun, you can enjoy a hanjeongsik course at a reasonable price. The course includes seasonal porridge, water kimchi, salad, royal court-style japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), jellyfish cold dish, and black sesame lotus root. You can enjoy your meal in a classic and serene atmosphere.
