Why travelers stop here
Songwol Naengmyeon is one of the oldest restaurants in Seoul, with a history of over 30 years, and its menu consists solely of naengmyeon (cold noodles). It has been run by the second generation since 1988, and the broth is made by simmering beef bones. The interior of the restaurant is simple yet cozy. Only three menu items are sold: yeolmu naengmyeon (young radish cold noodles), mul naengmyeon (water cold noodles), and bibim naengmyeon (spicy mixed cold noodles). The clean and refreshing broth is excellent, and the noodles are chewy. It is famous as a budget-friendly naengmyeon restaurant in Cheonho-dong that offers both taste and generous portions.
