Suyu Son Kalguksu

Suyu Son Kalguksu is located near Suyu Bridge at Suyu 3 Police Box, Exit 8 of Suyu Station on Subway Line 4, in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. This is a long-established kalguksu restaurant in Suyu-dong that opened in 1985. The menu only offers a single item: kalguksu (hand-cut noodle soup). The noodles feature the chewy texture characteristic of hand-pulled noodles, with a broth made from clams and zucchini, and seasoned with ginger, garlic, and salted seafood to complete the bowl. Customers can add Cheongyang chili peppers and minced seasoning according to their taste. Inside the store, a large banner reads 'Kimchi made with domestic red pepper powder from Jindo Island.' The kimchi, made with secret ingredients, is a popular side dish that rivals the kalguksu. Nearby attractions include Bukhansan, Suraksan, and Buramsan, offering opportunities for linked sightseeing.
