Destination briefing

Why travelers stop here

Since opening in 1970, Yeonghwajang, a Chinese restaurant with over 50 years of history, has been recognized as a 'Century Store' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service. Operated by overseas Chinese, it offers various dishes and meal menus such as jeongabok (braised abalone) and crab meat shark fin. Its signature menu is oyster jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), which boasts a light and refreshing flavor, loaded with generous vegetables like mushrooms, bok choy, oysters, and napa cabbage. Other popular items include ganjjajang (noodles with black bean sauce) with a strong wok flavor and savory taste, and sweet and sour tangsuyuk. It has been featured on TV programs such as <Siksin Road 1> for oyster jjamppong and tangsuyuk, and <2TV Saengsaeng Information> for samseon white jjamppong and tangsuyuk. It is a 4-minute walk from Exit 1 of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Station on Subway Line 1. Visitors arriving by car must use a nearby paid parking lot.
