Hyeonhae, meaning 'black sea,' refers to the sea off Shimonoseki, a region known for Japanese pufferfish. Most of the pufferfish distributed in Japan come from Hyeonhae, and the restaurant's name signifies the use of only live pufferfish. Additionally, just as cultural exchanges between Korea and Japan have historically taken place through Hyeonhae (the Korea Strait), the restaurant aims to introduce Japanese pufferfish cuisine through Hyeonhae.
The menu at Hyeonhae consists of course meals. All seats are in private rooms, making it suitable for business meetings or family gatherings.
